Why is it still Ps4 vs. Xbox one?
I just have to ask that? Every where i look i just see signs on youtube and other places about the Xbox 1 vs. ps4? Why is the xbox 1 even selling? Why are people so cheery that microsoft got rid of payment on used games? It is a good thing don't get me wrong but the fact is they still did it...and there are a lot of other features i think that are still on there that are just awful ideas.
Serously it should be nintendo vs sony...not xbox. As much as people still rip on nintendo, there trying to give the public what they want and aren't trying to screw people over at all. So why is there a sudden switch from hating xbox 1 to Nintendo again?
(also for ps4 lovers, as good as ps4 is be warned. Sony has been doing some pretty shady idea dealings of there own so watch out. it is believed DRM is "optional" for the ps4 so its not confirmed.)
Again this is my opinion. Let me know yours in the comment below.

Fun fact... In Japan Microsoft systems sell horribly, mostly because of it being too american and unappealing.
Bullshit. Just the fact that they could patch that crap is enough to believe they can put it right back in after suckering everyone to buy it. Plus, oh noes, the Wii U isn't selling enough in it's 1 year, it's obviously the worst console evverrr...just like the 3DS didn't sell much in it's first year and is now the best system evverrr. Ugh, so annoying...hell, PS4 doesn't even have many exciting games coming out next year compared to Smash Bros and Zelda, but cause they can't have amazing games right away...like no one does, obviously they're nintendoomed.
I can't really tell anymore if I'm just a Nintendo fanboy (considering I can't wait to get the PS4 for alot of stuff later), or I'm just not gonna be part of this gen of "fans". I like to call em whiners...complaining about shit we would've never complained about before. ...Am I gettin old? X3
Awesome journal, spread the word sistah!!
The one is a stab in the back to every console player out there.
Equally I'm not going to buy a PS4 because I don't like them (people are welcome to them <3 just not my thing)
I agree with you, I can't understand why anyone's bent over to Microsoft on this.
I honestly cant afford all the different systems for sony's games, And Nintendo gives you all their games since Day ONE, in ONE system.
I call that a win.
I have the NES, the SNES, the N64, the Gamecube, the Gameboy Advance Lite, And finally got the Wii Back. When the time comes, I will have the WII U and 3DS.
(cant really use the old consoles anymore but I do have them. just not with all the pieces)
Nintendo, for me, will trump all the other systems. Big time. (mostly because I dont care about super High definition.)
Skyrim low-quality looks exactly the same as Skyrim ultra-quality to me.
Then again i find the term console also missleading...
i call it system it is after all a system just like a PC just brutally nuderd, gimped, amputated, brainwashed and limited
PC, Mac Playstation,Xbox TVs and your microwave oven is a freaking COMPUTER adapted for certain tasks
so essentially a console is the same as a PC it got the same parts only certain things are diffrent. the only thing that differs them are their operative systems and input methods (controllers)
so we basicly all have the same thing its just that marketing is warping and dividing the consumers into sections with no real reason othern then MONEY. remember competition is good for the consumers
Money is power and power corrupts.
how about actually doing something good for the consumer (yeah as if a company ever would do that these days) and make the systems interoperable.
so a PC, Playstation, Mac, Xbox and ALL others can be united in 1 pool. imagine playing a multiplayer game on a PC with your friend who's on a Playstation and his cousin on a WII
but then the gamers are *united* and maybe then their eyes will open and they'll se that there are perhaps better options, and i guess it would make game publishers butthurt cause now there is no reason to buy the same product 5 times over just to be able to play with all your friends on diffrent systems. (dont get me started on DLCs aka consumer milking)
i compare todays buisness ethic with war strategies, and when it comes to gaming systems it falls to the Divide and Conquer stratagem. divide the customers base and thus reduce their abilty to fight back, then conquer them with DRMs, *features*, peer presure (fanbois) and utterly stupid ideas and restrictions.
every new system introduce a new *feature* that is downright intruding on the consumers. Xbox1 dropped certain features due to the customers havent *adapted* to the point where they would accept it. but that idea will come back sooner or later, and trying to organize consumers against this is like organizing centipeds to conduct a space launch using frogs as fuel.
so sooner or later they always get their wishes through and the consumers will at that generation forget what they didnt like about the previous generation since its still there but its not a *new problem* and thus are used to the old issues.
just think about it even IF they didnt drop the features that ppl rampaged about and put it on the market as announced, it would still sell due to fanboism. fanbois or brainwashed as i call them
are great at applying peer presure, and peer pressure grows over time as more and more buy this product even though they didnt want it and then activates fanboism by defending their purchase because they are too good to be wrong about *their* decission, only rarely will a product fail unless its extremely subpar performance/function wise hey maybe that why the slapped TV into the system......
Nintendo, meanwhile, has essentially removed itself from contention altogether by catering predominantly to "casual" gamers. And by "casual," I mean gamers who have never played anything else and therefore aren't aware of what a miserable piece-of-shit product Nintendo is putting out for them, relying on their inexperience combined with the fan followings of their many licensed franchises to compensate for the facts that their hardware struggles even when playing ports of PS2 games and most of their games depend on poorly designed, gimmicky controllers.
So people are talking about PS4 and XBox1 as the rivalry, not because Nintendo is no longer a contender, but because Sony and Microsoft were competing for the exact same portion of the market.
I say "were" because it seems like Microsoft has become more obsessed with competing with Apple than Sony. They're trying to turn the XBox1 into this all-in-one "does every friggin' thing you could ever ask for" system, completely forgetting that Sony tried the same thing with the PS3 and it didn't exactly work out for them.
Me personally, I don't think there's really a rivalry period. Nintendo's done the aforementioned prioritization of treating their consumers like suckers, and I fail to believe Microsoft isn't going to come out with some other B.S. features designed to punish anyone who buys a used game. For me, Sony literally won this round of the console wars by default.
Gaming is my bigest time killer and now a days I get a console when it starts to get somewhere about 15 or so games I want to play (though as of late a lack of money has been my bigger problem). And I mean it has to be that many just to that system, not on crossplatform games.
As of now, the only system I'm looking to get in the near future is a PS Vita, mostly because thanks to PS Plus and Cross Buy, I have about 20 games ready to go for it and it's nice to get a new system with a library like that ready to go (and that count isn't putting in PSP games I can use on that). I had a 3DS at launch, had it stolen and lost all the DLed games that I got along side all the ambasitor games. While I put no miney into the games, that still left a bad taste in my mouth that has made it hard to care about getting the hardware again even as game after game I want to play comes outfor it. The Wii U has about half the games of interest so far and by next year I'll likly be looking into it even with the same fealings for it come to me as the 3DS. As for the other two, I'll get them eventualy, but I'd say there at least going to need another year or 2 to warrent more then 300 bucks out of me.
To be honest, the thing that bugs me most is the prices for the old hardware. Why is it still over 200 dollars for a PS3 or 360? Every Gen before now have come to an end with the hardware at 150 at the most and this time the only one that has done that is the Wii, and alot of that is that it is just way oversaturated in the market early in the system's life.
