Elysium review

General
Just came back from seeing Elysium, and I have to say I recommend it.
The trailer was interesting, but what really sold it for me was a comment in an audio review by the Spill.crew, "they blow up people up *real* good in this movie". Now, any film that has earns *that* kind of comment, I got to go see.
And I was well amused by Elysium. One of the more impressive things is the future tech in the movie, which manages to look both futuristic *and* believable. That's actually pretty rare.
Oh yeah, there's some serious gore in a few places in this flick, but they're used to good effect.
Also, I *loooooooved* seeing Sharlto Copley playing the badass villain Kruger in this movie. Hand on my heart, he was probably at least 80% of the reason I went to see this movie. I mean, he is *disturbing*. And it's actually a bit ironic, 'cause in District 9, where he played the main character Wikus van der Merwe , he was running away from South African-Dutch para-military asshole, and now he plays one of them. XD And does it *WELL*.
Anyhoo, I give Elysium my recommendation. It's worth a look.

FA+

Matt Damon apparently wrote an apology on his blog for saying nothing but "MATT DAMON!" to all his friends and coworkers for a week after seeing the movie. He's got a great sense of humor.
It was... good, but not knock-my-socks-off good.
