Sexual repression

You know, there are a lot of so-called "jokes" you see in especially controversial stuff such as The Simpsons, South park, Family Guy, Ren and Stimpy and so on that to me feels more like obvious sexual repressions. Like for instance, seen when Peter Griffin got raped by a bull in Family Guy? Obviously, there is absolutely nothing funny about this. In fact, if it was Lois instead of Peter who got raped by the bull - feminists would sue their asses. But now when it's Peter? That's apparently totally fine. But I mean, what could their argument for it be if they got sued? "Oh, it was just meant to be a fun little innocent joke"... uhm, okay? About what?
This is something I find fascinating with humans - particularly commonly with men. When there are things they are into that might be viewed as too wrong or too unmanly or such things, they try to cover it up as a joke but still satisfy how they want to portray it. People might laugh at it, yes - but it's more out of uncomfortableness and sexual repression, since that's what it to me essentially is. Am I saying the creators finds the idea of being raped by a anthropomorphic bull sexy and erotic? Well... yes. Nothing you have control over though - you don't control what gives you a boner and what doesn't give you one. But they are doing something with it I consider wrong - they make an offensive joke about it and tries to get away with it. And they do.
I can think of a lot of other examples... focusing on fat round butts for jokes like someone being forced to shove his face between the butt cheeks of Powdered Toast Man in Ren and Stimpy - that's another example. Especially since in the scene is so forcefully made in the specific way to set up for him to be forced to do so. Again, is it a joke? It might be viewed as one, but I think once again it's about sexual repression. Things like shoving your face between buttcheeks is so taboo, you will in fact probably laugh out loud by me just saying this right now. That's one of two common reactions - the other one being that it's repulsive and gross.
No one seems to be aloof for this - you either hate it or love it. And most that loves it covers it up with laughter for the sake of making it seem like they aren't into it.
Uhm... this is a really weird journal. XD I need to make a disclaimer - I don't mean to say I know how this is 100%. This is just one of several observations I've been analyzing for years. I simply felt like sharing my thoughts with you about it and see what you might have to say. o3o;
