So!
Lots to mention... where do I start?
Chronologically? Kay.
My mother got remarried. The guy treats her like a queen, is super cool, and actually fairly interested in the fandom, namely the fursuiting and art parts. He knows I'm pansexual, he's okay with it, and he's a better father to my brothers than their father ever could be. I'm very happy.
Well. Sorta. See, my life has turned into a sitcom.
He has five kids. All girls. Only one knows much about me, the other two are too young to understand much besides that 'he's really really quirky'.
We're moving to Edmond, so I'll be closer to the fandom friends I know and love. I look forward to going to more meets and such. Maybe even start dating.
I was going to enlist in the navy, and still am, it's just... I have a GED and I'll have to have college credit before I can enlist. I'm okay with this. Once I'm out of college (probably Vatterott for Applied Electrical), I can enlist and see the world! I'm excited. I've never been out of the country but it's something I look forward to.
Now, in the land of furry, Jase has... changed. No longer just an opossum, due to an incident involving a car crash and a biorehab unit, he's now more like a hyena with an opossum tail and paws. Very convoluted biogen machine error. Nonetheless, he's doing well, working for Rossi Technologies as a test subject and lab tech for the time being. I'll actually be relaying a couple of interesting stories about work straight from the mutt's mouth.
Altogether, things have been going well, and I'm always looking forward. Drop me a line and we can hang out! Seriously.

I knew I forgot something! I went to RMFC this year! While originally it was to rekindle an old flame, Eris had different ideas and I ended up just dancing my ever loving ass off at the raves. My knee still aches but I lost a lot of weight.
I met a lot of awesome furs- to name a few, Arrow, who praised Eris with her incessant squeaking, Argent, a devious little lizard person, Ravenholm, the rotting corpse with slim jims hanging out if his stomach, 2 the Ranting Gryphon (really cool guy, surprisingly approachable), Louis, who joined the fandom over a cigarette we shared, and of course Sorin, who worked his ass to the bone running the convention. Anyone I forgot, I've slept since then so give me a break Q...Q
I did a lot of fursuit handling, learned a lot about head construction and old school suits from a greymuzzle named Fenris, hugged so many fursuiters I coughed up hairballs, and ran out of cigarettes standing outside having conversations with people multiple times. Awesome con, hope I get to go again some day.

And the con sounded fun! The only one i plan on making ATM is MFF, but i might got to F3 again this year.
All you can to save what you would have spent (or spend it on more important things like bills) and hope for next year!

I don't know many up that way, other than Oki of course. There are a few furs in Edmond but they're all pretty secluded up there it seems. Most are busy with school so like you, they havn't a lot of free time to roam down to stuff here. Indeed we don't get the Edmond furs down this way very often. Never have.
That's cool you want to do the Navy. Much luck on the schooling and all the subsequent testing after that :). Tis a great opportunity as you mentioned, to experience some brand new places and life.
