WOOOHOOOO! BROADBAND!

WELL, it looks after waiting a good 10 years or more, DSL Broadband is /finally/ available in my area. It's due to be hooked up on the 19th! Finally no more having to travel 10 kilometers just to get broadband internet. I am so looking forward to not being like some internet leper and being excluded or otherwise unable to join friends in doing online social activities such as gaming, voice chat or even just sharing of links, as well as online banking, enjoying news sites and being able to look up any information that tickles my fancy without taking a minimum of an hour. Not to mention actually getting to browse FA rather than trying to power through the backlog of submissions that have backed up, as well as actually uploading photos and the like. All of which, among other stuff that had to be done within a few hours before being cut off. It's going to be a big change for sure!
It can't come soon enough! But after waiting for as long as I have, a few days doesn't seem that bad.

FA+

Of course, it arrives the day after the bonfire. X-D
We got lucky, they ran fibre down the highway I live on, though where it stopped /just/ reaches us, otherwise we'd be forced to go with satellite from ONE company. Lets just say "affordable" and "generous" are two words I would not use to describe their service.
Do you at least get better than 28.8kbps? I at least hope you do, its almost unusable. D:
And honestly I'm using a phone as a wireless teather....thing.....I'm not all good with tech but I think it is higher than that x_x, sorry for being vague :o
....If you say so. ;)
I really need to repair my playstation's optical drive though D:
About fucking time!!!
Also digital downloads take up a LOT of room on the hard drive..
Example: The Testament Of Sherlock Holmes is a 1 gb install if you have the retail version.. And 9 gbs if you get the digital download.
I have a fairly sizable HDD in my PS3. I upgraded it long ago. Unfortunately, without an optical drive the disc-based versions don't work. :(
Of course, having the games already might kind of take some of the value out of it indeed. X-D
