I totally agree. I tend to forget how long this series has been running. Having been a kid and standing in line at K*B Toys to pick up both Red and Blue, I followed it through Gold and Silver before drifting away. At least until mid Black and White 2. So much has changed. Many things for the better, I think. But yeah, this should help newer kids see what we experienced :)

Not a reboot, just a special. My guess is to help the current generation of kids who wasn't around for the original. :)

Ash was a terrible representation of Red.

I consider this to be the REAL pokemon story. Ash and pikachu were all well and good but I'm very excited to see this.

I dunno how true it is, but, I heard this is kind of a one-shot movie dealie. Maybe if it does well, they'll do this with each generation, or perhaps, each game in itself. Showing how things would've gone if Ash chose Squirtle, Chamander, or Bulbasaur.

Looks like Pokemon Trainer from Super Smash bros. Brawl. I never was a fan of the anime, or games so I probably wont be watching this. doens't look interesting and looks the same as the previous ones just with different characters... there is only so much you can do to a series like pokemon before it is ALL the same as before. (which is why i only ever played one pokemon game (Original Silver) till i realized "why am i spending more money on the same game over and over with different characters"

Theres a lot new here, and old that us fans love. At the same time, this is only a formula that has attracted us to it. While this formula doesn't appeal to you, I'm sure there are a great deal of other things you enjoy.

This could be very interesting if this follows closely to the actual red, blue and green games and manga. If this does well, they can work on doing Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 (I think a lot of people LOVED that anime opening to Black 2 and White 2. :P) animes where there is no Ash and no Pikachu!

This looks quite interesting. Considering the tagline of the anime was "gotta catch em all" ash didn't actually catch many of the pokemon during the series. Hopefully red can change that :3

I'd welcome that. Maybe no Jessie/James while we're at it. >_>

If they made it for the Manga based purely on the games version and not the anime we known for a long time, then is is hugely possible to make one like this without Ash or Pikachu.

It's Red's Story. It's like the original Red, Blue, and Green.

I think it'll be freaky as hell if they show Ash in a coma like in Pokemon Theory
