Guy (and gals too I suppose when shaving legs and such) how often do you need to shave? I can go about 4 days before I need to shave again because I look like a hobo. From what I've gathered from friends, that's a long time and some have even said they only wish they could go that long with out shaving. I knew a guy in college that need to shave every damn day and by the time the day was over, you'd think he never shaved at all. He hated it. It crazy to think that if you followed him all day you would be able to watch his beard grow.
I guess it's good that I only have to shave every 4 to 5 days because I couldn't grow a beard if I tried.... and I have tried. I end up just growing some sad, pathetic sparse facial hair. I thought once that maybe if I let it go for a really long while it'll be fuller. No dice. It just got itchy and annoying and trying to shave it off was pure hell. So I don't try any more. We used to have beard growing competitions in college too. One month was what you had to get as good a beard as you could get. I never bothered because I knew it would have been pointless.
So how about you? Can you go for days with out a blade to your face or do you need to shave by mid morning?

It just grows under my neak, and I hate it...!
no beard..! no stash...! Not even a god damn lip hair...!
just under my neak..!
from the front you cant see it, but it looks awful..!
I can last about 5 to 6 days, before I meet good old blade..!
I mostily care for my side burns..! I Make them look good..!
and not wolfverien style either, Im talking the good shit..!
Apparently the frequency of your shaving effects beard growth - back in college I was shaving 2-3 times a day - first thing in the morning, then again in the afternoon due to ROTC and then a third time in the evening on even numbered years as I was doing door to door campaign work or if I had a date.
I also inhereted rather rough stubble from my Dad - when that shadow kicks in you could use my cheeks to sand wood so I have no choice but to shave before a date as otherwise I'll shred the skin of the poor gal I'm being affectionate with.

I have to shave my underarms every other day, or else it just looks really bad. As for my legs, in summer I tend to shave every 3rd day - when the stubble is obvious. But I love winter because I'm horribly lazy and wearing pants all the time gives me the excuse not to shave for as long as I want. Still do my underarms though. It feels weird if I don't.
I can usually manage a day or two w/o shaving the face. Naturally I only grow hair in a mustache and goatee anyway. I have a few stray tufts here and there but it's easily fixed. I used to just let it go like that but where I worked at the time changed managers so I had to say good bye to it. Which was fine though, I tried a new look and it didn't seem to work for me. *shrugs*
I can grow a beard, the only problem is my sideburns only connect to my mustache and do not connect with the rest of the beard on the chin. If the mutton-chop look ever comes back into fashion, I'm set. Otherwise it looks like shit and I keep it shaved.
I also shave using a plastic knife, a plastic spoon, and a disposable bowl.
;)
Yes, did you notice they grow faster as days are growing longer ?...
Now when I was in college I would shave once a month at most, and all I'd have would be a clump of hair on my chin and a mustache. I've always thought it's the Cherokee in me that's caused this.
So I get lazy and only shave when I need to look presentable.
