I guess I still haven't been able to assimilate the last 10 years passing.

Though I might know this feeling, furs are the group where I most strongly feel "fitting in", and even there, there are gaps and empty emotions of lonelyness. Haven't found a way to think differently, usually try to avoid thinking at all.
