And this is a constant fear of artists everywhere...luckily my bf has only asked me to draw something for him like twice in the 9 months we've been dating, so I try to avoid worrying about that xD

Well in all kind intentions though, this is what BFs of artists fear too... Like me... My mate loves it when I ask him to make art but I personally avoid it because I dont wanna look like "THAT GUY" and sometimes it's misunderstood as me not liking his art

Think its best to focus on whom makes you feel the msot comfortable when asking such a question. As much as it is nice, and kinda cute, to see you reaching out on FA to people to see their interests in you, there's also the factor of them looking for your art... You did say before in one of the comments somewhere in this explosion of random jazz that "they're not going to get much free art", which is reasonable also.

People are right about this artists fear of this though, and like  sYnister said, there's occasionally a fear that the artist's lover might feel bad for getting free art. I personally have a fear up on being used for my art (though it's not that fantastic in comparison...) and I feel like I have been before. But it happens haha, can't change what's done there.

Secondly, (eff me, I'm posting an essay... kinda) and I think you already know this, but you should really get to know someone who you like, and has a mutual feeling for you. And it's also up to them to get to know you better as well. Love is a tough, but fragile cookie which can easily be broken, so you've got to find the right one (even if you've stated in your journal "im not on to get in a relationship, but just like to ask....").


TL;DR - Be careful they're not using you just for art and work, get to know the other person before making any decisions. :3
