There seemed to be a lot of VHS tape releases of episodes from this series back in the 80's, each with their own title, like "Tales of Don Quixote and Bobby Coon" (and I think that title was a typo -- it was supposed to by Don Coyote, not Quixote). I remember another collection called "The Adventures of Paddy the Beaver," and another one focusing on Peter Cottontail. The latter was different from the others in that it had it's own opening and theme song as opposed to the others (which simply used the same "Fables of the Green Forest" opening and theme song):

"Run -- run, Peter Cottontail!
That old fox is on the trail,
And if he catches you, you'll be a rabbit pie!

Run -- run, Peter Cottontail!
That mean old fox is on your tail,
And if he catches you, you'll be rabbit on rye!

You better sleep with one eye open,
You keep hoppin', you keep hopin'
That every trick of that fox is gonna fail...

So run -- run, Peter Cottontail!
That old fox is licking his lips,
He's gonna have some rabbit and chips,

An otter AND a mink in an animated TV series. Several steps up in awesome ^^

Yeah, Little Joe Otter and his buddy Billy Mink definitely made the series unique. There were also occasional appearances by Jimmy Skunk, Digger the Badger and a grumpy ferret who was known as "Mr. Shadow." The English intro calls the latter "the mean old weasel" but his size, color and markings clearly identify him as a ferret (or possibly a polecat).
