Looking for pictures of guns
I know this may be a bit inappropriate, but...
Is there a safe way to search for guns? I mean pictures of them; I don't plan on buying any. I plan to use the pics for reference in my art.
You will probably say to Google search for them, but, with the way the government has been acting lately (SPYING on its own citizens, in particular), I've been afraid to attempt that. I'm afraid the NSA or whoever will break in here and arrest me, thinking I was planning to shoot up a school or something (something I would NEVER EVER do!) I'm probably just being paranoid, but I just don't want to risk it. The government is being run by some very stupid people these days...
If there is no other way, I'll probably just have to use the gun models from my various games as reference. But the problem with that is, I don't think I have every gun in history to reference from in the games I have.
I would really appreciate help on this. I have some art ideas that will have guns in them, and I'd hate to abandon those ideas because of government stupidity...

As for the site, I'll give it a try. I just hope it has good pictures to reference from; I hate trying to look for something, and not find a single decent picture to reference from (this has happened to me on multiple occasions when searching for some cartoon characters to draw.) Also, the site is safe to go to (as in, no viruses, etc.?)
And yes, I'm quite confident that it's virus-free. Hope it helps.
It sounds safe and reliable, although the weaknesses are a bit of a turn-off. I haven't read the whole thing yet, though.
I hate the thought of having to use that to search for pics, but if I have to, I will. The government really needs to piss off and stay out of our private lives!
its not illegal to look at guns and even if the government was monitoring you they cant search you without proper reason and googling guns is not a proper reason so like
googling guns is cool the government isnt gonna harass every 12 y old boy who googles "shotgun"
I remember reading a story on a forum about someone who made a HL2 map of their school, and he got arrested by the police, who thought he was making that map to plan an attack on it. I don't know if it was true or not (and this was a long time ago), but that's reason enough to worry.
I don't like sounding like a negative Nancy, but I'm sure you understand how I feel.
in 1999 the columbine massacre happened (and that changed a lot of things but not how police coverups work /: ) and one of the shooters supposedly made a doom map of his highschool so yeah stuff like that is kinda hawked on even though the reason for the hawking isnt that great, its justified because shit like columbine does happen and therefore shit like being arrested over hl2 maps of real places happens?? double edged sword
either way http://www.gundigest.com/gun-photos-gallery seems cool
Columbine was the first big school shooting I believe, and there's been so many more recently that it's scary. I seem to remember when it happened, mainly because I was watching something else when it was interrupted by the report.
Still, I won't be making any maps of the White House or anything like that anytime soon, if at all (though it's probably not that big a deal.) And if I did, I would make sure to leave a disclaimer in the description; saying it was made for fun, and NOT malicious intentions!
As for the main subject, I'm probably just going to search on Google (though I'll try that site out too). I asked my dad about it, and he said it should be okay.
And besides, the government should worry more about those who actually BUY the guns, not those who just look at pictures of them. And as I said, buying guns is not my intention.
