Finally, an Interview/Intervention Con was good

I got an email on Wednesday that I have an Interview at Macy's. It's Temporary, but it's better than nothing. Funny that despite all the apps I sent in for every company within my proximity that I was more than qualified to do since mid-July said nothing to me at all, yet a company that I applied to responded in exactly a weeks timing. Last time I applied to a position that was freshly open and denied to me, they had it reopen every month because apparently their new hire couldn't handle it.
After getting registered, I rolled a Die to see if I would get a prize. Rolled a 6 and then another 6. I got to choose a prize and chose Manga Studio Debut 4, and they took a picture to post on their site to commemorate anyone that won. Here's the proof: http://interventioncon.com/page/2/
Later on I went to the panel Basics of Manga Studio 5, and then they gave away a few copies for free after the panel in the fashion of a Rock, Paper, Scissors. I got to eat lunch at a Meals-on-wheels that was for the restaurant called GAHD (Greatest American Hot Dogs): A New Jersey Ripper and chocolate Dipped Cheesecake on a stick. I spent my last remaining hours doing the videogame challenges at the Mag Fest. Got a free shirt and $5 off registration as a result.

It seems that this interview was rather simple. I sat in the lobby waiting to be called in, then practically waited an additional 10 to be seen, answered a few questions and was out. To be perfectly honest, it could have been easily done over the phone if it was going to be that short and time consuming. Then at the end I'm told they won't start hiring until near the end of next month. I was really hoping that they would have hired me before the end of this month so I would have extra money to spend on my birthday next month at Anime USA (My last con of the year that was scheduled 2 months early.)
Unfortunately it seems that the hiring for this position won't occur until near the end of next month. What a crock and load of crap that is. I went in Monday, sat for about 10 minutes or more, got seated for for the interview and was out in about 7 minutes or less after answering a few questions. This is by far the longest interview I've been at: first 2 jobs I walked in and was hired, most recent I got an email that said "You're Hired" without even having an interview.
And what kind of atmosphere do you mean? *hugs* :) I can offer a little advice, and I'd be happy to be a reference if you need.
By what I said, it was elaboration for "As long as it's a place I won't want to kill myself in". I definitely don't desire to be put at a lower-rate from my last salary, but I would be willing ot make that sacrifice for a Full-Time position. I'll soon be getting in contact with my Maternal Aunt since she was formerly responsible for hiring people before she retired, and see if she can aid me in perfecting my Resume.
*hugs* Good luck, you know I'm happy to help if I can.
I can gambit that the vast portion of the nation has spent 12-13 years in grade school just to get a paper that they believe says "You're ready to take on the world", and then find out the rude awakening that the vast majority of the stuff you were forced to learn was fruitless since they never covered what you really need in order to succeed as a mature adult. It's like they took a 10K piece puzzle, dumped it on the table and said "You have until the end of the day to finish". So many things could have been done to make having a chance at making a living for everyone, but they did nothing to promote lifestyle stability. If I were a part of the education board, I seriously would have demanded and forced those issues to be established instead of skimmed like retards.
Sorry about the ranting, I REALLY should have just made an Open-Discussion journal about my hatred over how things have been done and how those responsible for educating the youth are failing at teaching them how to actually live and survive.
