Gotta tell you little one. You and thousands of others have been asking for filters for a long while. Honestly you should just go get the furry filter mod for firefox. Type in the key words that you don't want to see, and if they're in the image description, it won't pop up.

It's what I did for MLP crap.

people dont always mark keywords, but a required selection, like the content rating selection of submitting, would be more efficient. and far easier to filter. With less slip ups as well.

I'm offering you a moderate solution. It's not really a matter of what you want, so much as taking what you can get at this point at least.

Actually, filters are really hard and have a fairly low chance of enforcement. On a technical level its super hard to implement, not to mention getting into the questions of "what do you let people filter, what don't you let people filter". That and updating search and browse code to handle it is blegh in itself, too, since you've then got to make sure the servers can handle that additional load of having to think about every submission loaded past "is it mature vs. not mature"

From a community perspective, you'd have to make the system optional as there would be no way to really implement strict guidelines in a fair and effective manner, not to mention having staff and community members trained on how to appropriately report and flag un-tagged content. So the tags filtering system Drk mentioned might be better from that perspective, but again optional is best in these cases.

I totally agree with you. It's like, "Oh here's a nice hot macro pic ... wait are those crushed bodies? Whelp, nvm."

Also if you block MLP you've blocked like 65 percent of all recent pictures (hyperbolic but I'm somewhat amazed by all the artists who exclusively draw MLP art).
