EVERY FUCKING TIME I DO A DIGITAL PIECE!!!! I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAVE IT COMPLETELY DONE. CLEAN FUCKING LINES FOR DAMN CHANGE, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, AS IT WAS SAVING.... FUCKIN' BOOM GIMP CRASHES! IT TOOK SINCE 1:30 TO NOW! 4 FUCKING HOURS! 4 HOURS DOWN THE FUCKING DRAIN?! AND YOU PEOPLE WANDER WHY I HATE DIGITAL ART?! Its a damn joke! I HATE Digital art, I hate computers... I'm so fucking mad.... I really wanna hit something.... You wander why I run out of patience! THERE THATS WHY...

Flash does the same thing to my man when he's drawing. I have to nag him to save at least every half hour since he tends to not even initially save before finishing stuff.

I don't know squat about Gimp, but does it have an autosave feature? Might be good to increase frequency.

Ran across Autosave plugin for GIMP. Never tried it myself, and it sounds like it may have a few dependencies (especially on Windows), but it might help you some in the future if it works?
