Black and white arctic fox from fabric depot http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7776703/
Al black fabric depot fox http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7454202/
The fur is thick, soft and heavy. Unshaven it has a high shiny gloss finish. Shaven the undercoat is matte. It has a very thick undercoat. It's perhaps a smidgen shorter because mm fox has more whispy long hairs but it's not noticeable. Get a swatch and see for yourself!
Good luck and looking forward to seeing your project!
Top of the legs is fabric depot white fox.
middle is fabric empire white fox *this is what happens when you don't get SWATCHES. EVERY. TIME.
The feet is crs teddy white.
Whiter fur is fabric depot, the yellow tinge is fabric empire. http://www.flickr.com/photos/611298.....07/8423565733/
muzzle is teddy white, bib is fabric depot white, underneath the eye is df white. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9963545/
What's weird about it is in person the fabric empire fox is a closer to df white than the fabric depot but in pictures it looks whiter. The short answer is I haven't found a long pile white that matches df white perfectly. Honestly only ocd people would really really notice. Get swatches tho.
Though I bought it as black "gorilla" fur from fabricempire! It's the same stuff they just called it something different Xb
It's nice but not quite as long as the MM black. though it's much much thicker and softer while the MM furs I find really dry and easy to rip.
Though I use them for a lot of things Xb
the only other long pile black I can think of is monkeyshag from distinctivefabrics. Though that is VERY sparse. There is no way to shave it down if you're using it on a face. but it makes a great hood. I actually used some on the mohawk strip on this black gryphon head! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10478295/
The other fur used on that was very short short luxury shag style fur.
