what is it with all these people who had ceramics in highschool ;;;;;;; haha, we didnt even have an art department in ours; it was a little under 200 students and we only had art teachers like twice sobs

It wasn't a real class just a few side things so :< I wish I had a real ceramics to do though. I have made a few bowls n stuff though and a cup if it counts for any thing.

my class had a whole semester dedicated to sitting on the wheel and attempting to fight the clay into an object :'D it took me like a freaking month to get it down enough to make a wobbly ass bowl haha

My bowel looked funny but all of them broke sigh.. we always did boring stuff in art class :< In art one we did some minor cermanics but in 2 we didn't do much.. the schools program was poorly funded in all honesty they cared more about football. We didn't even have turntables.

haha, well, for me, ceramics was one semester out of a first-year art class. if you wanted to do anything with ceramics after that, you pretty much had to do it as independent study, since the rest of the art classes were more drawing-based. a few people did paintings but they had to provide their own materials most of the time, since the fine arts department budget was split amongst art, drama, and music...

we also never had to run the kiln ourselves, so it was always kind of "lmao that sucks" in college when people had to leave class at random times to go change the temps on their bakes...

I worked a second job as a studio assistant to a lady that taught ceramics courses.

She called me her 'wedge monkey' because I wedged up all the used clay from her classes. She paid me in letting me use her glazes and kilns for personal,business works. :D

Ohhhhmygoshhhh that was really nice of herrr! ;;;v;;; man i would have died if someone offered me that in exchange for wedging (wedging is hellafun, everyone else hates it I dont understand).

that's really cool tho! c: moreso since glazes can run a heck of a lot depending on what they are/color haha. uvu
