Last night my white rat Bane died. I've been pretty torn up since then. I lost my baby. I knew there was something wrong but by the time I was able to take action I was too late to save him.

Awww, sorry to hear that. I know what it's like to lose a dear fuzzy companion. Our dog for 13 years passed about 3 years ago. It still feels empty from time to time without that huge sweetheart of a Mastiff/Pitbull waddling about and being a lovable lump in the couch.
