The Clairmont(sp?) is across the street and the closest nearby, well-priced hotel to the convention space. As far as the con, I'll probably be there but I'll probably not have many badges on... as I might be in the pool a lot. I dunno. :)

Will see. I've always have had a preference of FC over AC, but I've stayed away from cons because I always ended up walking alone (no cell phone back then, so no easy way to find me). Still won't next year, since my planned suit won't be ready by then, and I do want to have a suit to make the trip more fun.

Though I may end up choosing Califur, as there is a museum some distance away in LA that has a Carnotaur skeleton. XD

Wish i could go to the other cons too, sadly RF is the only one I could ever make, due to work time restraints :/

Hehe, make it more interesting than just the convention. That's why I'm going to Rainfurrest, want to see Seattle for part of it. It has been a long time since I visited the city.

I always want to do this but it never works out! The con winds up being too busy.

I probably would not have that problem, having few social circles to be in.

It just takes knowing 1 or 2 people who are sociable and can show you around. Plus this con tends to be too short for touring since we usually arrive Friday night and leave Sunday afternoon. I would have to take an extra day to do the city.
