Sticky Acrylic
Lately, I've been doing a lot of work on little canvas panels (see also http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11495519/ ), but have run into a big problem: when the panels have dried (to the touch, at least), and I stack them out of the way to work on others...they end up sticking.
I've done some research on this, usually pulling up things like cabinet doors and window sashes that stick even though they've "dried." Still, acrylic paint is acrylic. And since I cannot wait the advised 3 weeks before doing anything to them, I have tried a few things I found, with the following results [all samples were acrylic on card, placed face to face with the following items interposed, weighted and compressed by a granite cube overnight]:
Control - much picking and pull-off
Talc - some pull-off, but possible issues with painting on after application
Aluminum foil - hardly any pull-off, but some sticking. Could cause issues.
Wax paper - far and away the best result - practically fell away from the paint. I plan on stealing away the entire roll for my own use.
TL:DR - wax paper keeps acrylic paint from sticking to other acrylic paint, when everything has dried to the touch.
