Hello internet-land! September is finally here and I've been quite busy catching up on my to-do list throughout August. I have a few people I haven't heard back from yet but I've got one wavy icon, two headshots, five RMFC 2012 commissions at various stages of completion to finish, and have four more masks to cut/hinge before those old commissions are wiped off my list entirely. For once in my life I'm about to be caught up. I still have a few side projects here and there, some old trades and whatnot, and will be worked on throughout this month alongside the new work I will be taking on.
That's right, for the first time in three years, Riley CanineHybrid will be open for new commissions! :D
I'm finally ready to make art and my business a full-time job and it will be my main source of income for the foreseeable future. If you would like to help aid me in this endeavour and get some original, custom, bitchin' awesome artwork, then get your references ready because I have no idea how fast these slots will go.
Opening Dates
∙Wednesday, September 4 - Webstore commissions
"Custom Cut" and "Cut + Hinged" masks will be available for purchase again, experimenting with opening 2-3 slots every week on Wednesdays. Once the slots are taken I will be closed for custom mask orders until the following week. Items like noses, pawpads, and uncut masks will remain open (unless my to-do list becomes too long for me to properly manage them). I will try to maintain a strict turnaround time of 1 week, but no more than 2 weeks. So far all the new orders I've taken throughout August I've been able to keep up with easily alongside everything else.
∙Monday, September 9 - On-the-spot Livestream sketch commissions
I will be hosting a Livestreaming session at 2pm MST where you can come on and have the chance to purchase commissions or to watch them drawn live as they are requested! More details will be given when that happens but essentially I will be opening for sketch commissions (and maybe a few lineart ones) that are quick turnaround character drawings, each taking anywhere between 15 minutes and 2 hours to complete depending on the character and what kind of drawing is requested. This is an all-day stream and may go on until midnight-ish, and every commission I take that day will be finished that day.</div>
∙Wednesday-Saturday, September 11-14 - Drawing commission quotes open[/s] DELAYED
This is the timeframe when I will be open for commission quotes, questions, etc that you may have for me prior to the day I open for new slots. If you are interested in commissioning me, you can give yourself time to prepare for it by typing out all your commission info (I will have a form for you to fill out) and get an idea of what it would cost. Quotes are good for 4 months so even if you are thinking of something down the road, you are welcome to send in your ideas/requests now. Remember, Pokémon characters and/or simple receive a discount. Keep in mind these are for character drawing commissions ONLY; I will not be taking costume commission quotes at this time.
∙Sunday, September 15 -Commission slots open DELAYED UNTIL OCTOBER
This is it! Commission slots go live on this day; depending on how popular or how quickly the slots go, I may be changing up how I accept them but I plan to post it at noon (MST) and give you a 6 hour window. I will then cut off new commission requests and assign out all the slots. If you post for a slot, you are expected to have payment ready immediately; if your commission is $50 or more, then you qualify to have the option of paying half now and half upon completion. <em>This is my current plan:</em> slots will be first come first serve, but for fairness I will set aside at least one slot for the winner of a randomized selection and another slot for accepting a commission of my choice based on how much it interests me from the ones remaining. I will contact you if you received a slot and will post the finalized list on my journal. If you do not pay me or arrange a payment agreement within a few days, you risk losing your slot. Commissions will then close until I have completed all the slots on the list. Directions on how to reserve a slot will be posted in the commission journal.

Other Updates
I will be attempting to work on some personal costume projects this month if I find the time, but otherwise I'll be concentrating on improving the webstore products with new molds and new items. Planned this month are Dragon and Canine masks 2.0, canine jawsets, and eyes. They will become available for sale as soon as they pass prototyping and quality tests. Expect some Livestreams of sculpting sessions. All I'm really waiting on at this point to be able to start is receiving a new eye mold from a plastic's manufacture that has been completely custom made for CanineHybrid Creations, so my eyes will be a slightly different size and depth than what any other builder offers and will be designed to work with my masks out of the box. When they officially launch, there will be clear resin, colored/tinted resin, and silicone options with half or full (3D/follow-me) versions and LED add-ons. Custom painting is a service I'm working on offering to you soon as well.

Wiping out all the webstore orders and boxing them up for a huge shipping run Tuesday morning! Didn't manage to box everything up in time to ship them off before the holiday, so if you're waiting on any products from me, expect to see them sent out in this batch.
