Week 1 Regular Season Matchups
General
It's finally time for the 2013/2014 season to begin!
-During the regular season you are welcome to note us your selections in advance if you know you might be away for the weekend but we'd prefer if you could just respond to the journal with your picks. (Journal will be posted every Monday)
-You do not have to put score predictions in during the season but feel free to do so if you wish. Score predictions will be part of the Playoffs
-You may use a team name or a nickname when making picks otherwise we will just use your FA name.
-Please list all selections in one comment (Or in a continuation of your original comment if you are breaking up your picks for Thursday games, Sunday games, and Monday games). They can be as in-depth or as simple as you want. You are free to change your picks up until the first kickoff of that night of the week. Once the kickoff for Thursday, Sunday, or Monday occurs no more predictions or alterations for that day will be allowed. If you miss a day feel free to make predictions for the other days of the week.
-At the end of 17 weeks the 8 players with the most wins will move into the Playoffs which will follow a similar format. In the event a game ends with a tie you will gain neither a Win nor a Loss.
-Finally, have fun. This group is here so you can enjoy furries and football =P

Ravens @ Broncos - Broncos take it due to a rusty Flacco and a lesser defensive presence by the Ravens.
Patriots @ Bills - Not so much a prediction as it is a forgone conclusion. I mean seriously, MATT LEINART?!?! HAHAHA
Titans @ Steelers - I'll take the Black and Yellow here if only because it's at home and Jake Locker is basically a right-handed Matt Leinart. That being said, neither team will post many points on the board.
Falcons @ Saints - Going the upset route on this one. I have no real good reason other than history and the fact that Nawlins likes to play great in home openers.
Buccaneers @ Jets - Mark Sanchez + no real running game + old receivers = no real chance. Bucs all day here.
Chiefs @ Jaguars - ............ugh. I feel awful for the people who will be at that game. I'd rather attend a day-long church service than watch this. Alex Smith > Blaine Gabbert, so Chiefs win.
Seahawks @ Panthers - I would go for the Panthers in an upset, but thinking back they've never served me well as an upset pick in the past. They're an attractive team with an attractive name in Cam Newton, but don't let that fool you. Seahawks take it.
Bengals @ Bears - It's a new year and a new coach for the Bears, and I expect them to bottle up the Dalton - Green combo with stellar play from Peanut and Jennings. Should be fairly close, but the Bears have the x-factor in their defensive play. This does however, depend on how Cutler and co. conduct themselves.
Dolphins @ Browns - Another snoozer, but the Browns have an at least equally good QB, a much better RB, and a better defense. They'll still end up 4-12 tho lol
Vikings @ Lions - Adrian Peterson is going to run all over the Lions D. This is the only reason Minny gets the nod.
Raiders @ Colts - LOL Are the Raiders still a professional team???
Packers @ 49ers - Literally doing a coin flip for this.......heads for Packers, tails for 49ers.
Cardinals @ Rams - Until Carson Palmer can prove that he's a legitimate QB in the NFL still, the Rams make this one by virtue of a solid defense and offense. Average > Poor.
Giants @ Cowboys - Ugh....I groan everytime I see this matchup cuz we get to see two totally unpredictable QBs duke it out to see who can fuck up worse. I'm going Cowboys because they're at home and i'm banking on Romo having a good game.
Eagles @ Redskins - I see no reason to believe that just because Michael Vick looked better in the preseason he'll be good when it counts. RGIII, if healthy, will lead his team to victory.
Texans @ Chargers - I'm probably never going to pick the Raiders or Chargers unless they play each other. Phillip Rivers is a terrible quarterback and now he has literally one good player at his disposal (Vincent Jackson). The Texans are a much better team.
