Tablet Troubles: Commission me

Sooo.. I have a pretty old tablet and it's finally started to die on me.
It's a wacom intuos3; I don't know what's wrong with it, I plug it in and the light that says it's on and working is on but when I go to draw or just move the cursor nothing happens.
I don't want to buy a pen if the tablet is the problem but I also don't want to have to buy a new tablet if it's just the pen..
The last time I used it the cord that's attached to it had to be in a certain position for it to work so I don't know... I really can't afford this right now..
So I would REALLY appreciate some commissions right about now. I still charge $5 for basically anything you want! I have more details in the commission widget on my deviant art profile. http://sometimescats.deviantart.com/
