Well i bought my main, but Kink (my first) was designed by me.... pretty much i took all my fav colors (rainbow) and black and white.
i drew a speciese i wanted. (wolf and just put how i would want to look. i looked at lots of other characters and morphed some designs into my own. c:

i had a hard time figuring mine ;A; since i like alot of animals but i didn't want to be compared to other things. X//d so i mixed in a bear (loves bears) with an owl (lvoe them tooo) and i ended up with my owlbears u///u and my little fursona o doom

My friends compared me to a bear, and I had clubs already so I was planning to mash them up, but I still haven't gotten around to designing beardog clubs @v@

Hey so do I! Well.. I only really make small changes to clubs, but I rarely draw her as an anthro because I don't really see her being one.

Bubblegum was supposed to represent the happy, outgoing me that would never exist. Blue and pink are my favorite colors, design wise. Always identified with Red Pandas.
Syd is the representation of my anger and depression, and my constant curiosity of what'd it be like to be a boy. Although he started as simply a "dog", he changed to a husky, and now, finally, a hyena monster. I've always loved turquoise and lavender together, so I decided he'd be just that.
Lucky is really just something I used to draw my non-furry boyfriend as in animal form. Then I adopted him as my own because he's too cute. G Sheps are my favorite breed of dog. Green is my bf's favorite color.

I technically have characters based on emotion... But I was never good at bringing out anything not somewhat happy? So I never brought out the sad and angry characters.

I first made my sona a tauren, from my tauren character off of WoW, but then i though how there's a lot of tauren characters on FA as sonas too. So i changed him to my favorite bull, an Angus Bull.

Was a red wolf for a super long time. (love wolves. Also ginger) XP

But I recently changed to a weird hybrid thing instead. Been really into bats lately, so I changed to a leaf-nosed bat-tree kangaroo mix. (roos and pouches are cute) And added in a bit of kinkajou (just so my character could have a prehensile til) :B

penguins were just my favourite animals in the beginning and thats basically all omg
but penguins are hard to draw and my design isnt especially gr9 as well so i thought of changing to a different sona

It takes practice really, if you feel you "can't" draw a penguin go for something easier, but keep the design. Maybe you can practice penguins from time to time <:

it started off with the thinking bit being the tail, but then it sorta evolved to the two having different personalities, but sharing a butt connection.

I just designed a character to be part of the background with nice colors several years ago. Then he got in this really personality defining rp and then he started stealing my inner feelings and personality :I and then he stole the story. YUP
I just can't get over how that compared to what most other people have?? I mean not like special snowflake syndrome just like....I didn't even realize how defining to my inner self he was until it was too late LOL. Oh and design wise he was meant to be things that I hadn't done yet at the time..the most tweaks he's gotten are minor accessory removals. hesospecial

its long sort of thing but its not a simple answer. It was a long situation I had when I was9 to 11 with dreams and situations related to a shadow, a ghost of a anthro dragon named hyroken. when I turned 11 I had a dream or feeling of him fusing myself and thats.. thats how I got the dragon sona I am. Its weird and all and understand people thought but thats honestly the memory I have.

Well, it all started when I was playing a Lego Star Wars game XD One where you can ride on a tauntaun for a short amount of time. And my boyfriend at the time said 'i want a pet tauntaun D:' so i decided to draw our 'sonas riding on some, then i decided to draw an anthropomorphic one. I fell in love with that anthro tauntaun, so I decided to make her my new sona. It works, because I live in a cold state.

For me it was pretty hard and she still is in progress xP
But I picked the wolf because as a kid I loved wolves
And the hyena part kicked it because I'm a person that doesn't really take and crap from a guy and female hyenas over take charge I thought that was a good mix

My character came to me roughly around when highschool, I think it started, probably as a result as some sort of defense mechanism not sure. Started out as black, then slowly evolved also to have the eyes on the wings, but not fully reach soul-taker at that point. After Highschool came to have its good side, all white, no visible marks and a sword the source of that dark energy, an white eagle feather on the inlay of the wing membranes. No real changes to the character have come since

She kinda just...grew...as I did?
Went through a few changes, stopped being purple and neon green, stopped being a hedgehog/echidna, you know.

Mine came from the original love of the Wolf, but then I changed him to more of a mutt. The scars represent two times in my life where I did something that made me regret it. Pretty much, he matures and changes as I do.
