Hey All!
The King Richards Faire furmeet was a big success, and a good number of you seemed to enjoy the post Faire BBQ at my house. let me tell you that was one of the nicest parties that's been hosted here in a while!
Great folks and furs, I believe our total count including straggler groups added up to 25 or 26. The BBQ count was in the 20's as well. Thank you ALL furs, friends, guests who were very generously awesome about socializing, hanging out, and for those of you who stayed just late enough to welcome my mum and dad home and thank them for their hospitality... they loved that! You're all in trouble they say we can host again next year.
Really, couldn't have asked for a much better day for weather too. If there was only one minor detail I wish I could've managed a bit better, was the deep-discount Groupon tickets. Bear with me here in defense, We simply didn't have enough for everybody. But WHY is that...some of you? Bueller? Bueller? I cant stress enough that the shortage of tickets that I counted to pre-purchase was due to a few of the group simply did not reply to the original posting for cheap tickets. I under-purchased because I did not see the numbers of replies to confirm anticipated attendance. to help resolve this (next year) please i cant stress enough if I make a post for pre-ticket purchases, I can tally fantastically better and anticipate purchase needs if I get some sort of indication. I'm sorry that a fair number of you were left out. (at least 6+) Dont let that happen next year. how? easy!! Just reply to the initial journal and don't wait last minute and show up expecting there's enough to go around!

I've been to a few furmeets and let me tell ya, that happens! People don't reply. The guy running the meets here even said as a rule he expects twice or thrice the people who actually did respond to show up! Oh well. You can account for this by making the meet into a simple pot luck like we do, also, the guy running it who brings the grill and most of the stuff asks us to help him pay for that stuff.
