Here is a prime example.
On Tapestries MUCK the message to bid you farewell after you type the command QUIT is this.

The source is a lore book in a few Elder Scrolls games which has quotes in it that even condone rape, as such never taken seriously outside the game. Heck the book isn't taken seriously in the game either.
Still if folks that run popular things like that are quoting such things.... makes you wonder.
