Really? That's a shame, because it's very poignant. Fortunately on DVD it's the whole episode. These censorship things are so stupid, they also banned a Tiny Toon Adventures episode for alcohol consumption, when ironically the point was to warn against the dangers of drinking. Good old double-standard US tv.

Yeah, but as you pointed out, it's unedited on the DVD, so it's fine now. Those bans and edits were done because Gargoyles was moved to a kids network and they tried to dumb down the violence in seemingly stupid ways. Punches never connected in other episodes, so battles looked beyond absurd. Thankfully it's never happened again and the gun episode has been left in its entirety.

The point you made on the Tiny Toon use of alcohol I think I may have seen that rebroadcast on The Hub, they showed the anti-smoking one for sure! Rodrick & Rubella were smoking and Babs kept telling them to Butt Out!

As for realistic guns and punches connecting, Spider-Man had problems with both, especially with nearly everyone weilding sonic or laser guns... Batman, however, had both bullet firing guns and punches! It's so good that it holds the test of time & they remain Batman's animated Gold Standard!

As for famous removed scenes, Rocko's Modern Life has a scene where he and Heff unknowingly try to spend the night in a love motel, The No Tell Motel, hourly rates... the clerk is in awe that the two want a room for "the whole night"~

The main difference being that that was one of RML's numerous hidden adult jokes (that show has a LOT of those), whereas "Deadly Force" was trying to tell a story about an innocent soul having a harsh wake-up call.
