I have to admit to being curious as to the contents of this CD. I have around 150 cassettes, 275 CDs and 250 LPs and I wouldn't be comfortable hanging the label "worst" on any of them. And I have Spin Doctors for crissakes.

Man, "Pocketful of Kryptonite" is the first thing that pops into my head when I see the phrase "worst CD"! I've never even heard the whole thing, I've only heard the singles and I think they are decent! I just saw it in too many used bins or something? I don't know!

I was a sophomore in high school when the album dropped, and it was everywhere. It's still in my collection because I don't throw albums away. I have to own that I owned it, if that makes any sense. The only excuse I can offer is that I was a fourteen year old metalhead transforming into a hippie kid, and jam bands were all the rage in the early nineties. Some good stuff came out in those years, but Spin Doctors, at least in their recorded work, embodied a saccharine-sweet, safe and ultimately banal expression of the jam band form.
If you dig the sound, check out old Phish, Blues Traveler and Rusted Root for better examples of the genre.

I'm still convinced the worst CD in the world, is the "Happy Piano" by Mrs Mills, ripped from its LP predecessor. I prefer my pianos miserable ! :C
