Hello!

It’s been quite a big couple of months. Expect more commission postings in the near future, but for now, let’s get caught up:

New Job

I was hired into a new position in business intelligence. This is a lot more in line with what I want to do long-term. I started in August, and I really love it so far. My new boss is great, I’m learning a lot, and I generally have no complaints so far.

SF Trip

 Donovan and I took a trip to San Francisco in early August. It was our big trip for the year, sort of a pilgrimage to both a historical LGBT city and the big furry party known as  frolic.party. We had a fantastic time, got to see all the big sites, and spent some time with  kyell and his husband, Kit, who were so, so hospitable. If you haven’t checked out Kyell’s books, give them a try. They are fantastic!

If any of you are traveling out there, I totally recommend stopping by Frolic. Also, look into the visitor passports for getting around. The public transportation is fantastic.

Engagement!

Donovan proposed while we were out in SF. He set everything up marvelously: we started the day out by walking around Golden Gate Park and Land’s End. We ended up at the Sutro Baths, where he had arranged for a limo ride. It was fancy! SO FANCY!!!

We rode across the Golden Gate bridge and spent some time at the Muir Woods, SF’s closest redwood forest. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel, where he had reserved a second room. He handed me the key, I opened the door, and there were rose petals and flowers everywhere, with the ring box sitting on the table inside. He got down on one knee and proposed, and of course I said yes. =^w^=
