Man, has it already been a year since I first registered here in FA? Time sure flies when you're having fun with new friends. Sure did get to do quite a lot in that time I've been here, and I intend to go through more as the years go by. For now I feel I want to reminisce about what happened since then.





The first few days after getting my account set, I was already part of  furrypinos and getting to know everyone there through online chatting. The first real friend who got around to noticing me a lot was  cheezypb, and til now we're still randomly chatting away. Everyone in the group was so lively and unique in their own way; sure enough they made me feel welcome and eager to show my own whimsical side. There were some bumps here and there, but I believe those taught me to be more tolerable and accepting of everyone's quirks to an extent. Moreso than IRL, TBH. From then on, I decided I'd try my hand at seeking out and meeting the closest furs I could possible find in my country before I had to move overseas. That's when I had my very first furmeet with  serov,  cursedhand, and  kiskisaryu. I gotta say, that was the time I wish I could've been serious enough to get into the fandom earlier. There were so many others I wanted to meet in places I've always been in all this time.






Two months later, I arrived in New Zealand and started getting used to the new life. Everything was so fresh and breezy here... and I loved every minute of it! After starting to move around the place a bit more, I got the drive to join  nzfurs and had my first Auckland furmeet. Complete with the fursuiting  odstmordecai and his flatmates who ended up being my first three friends here (dunno their FA).
In just a short while after that I got to seeing more of the many furs on this city, which apparently is one of the major areas for us to live in other than Christchurch and Wellington. Seeing all those random people interacting with each other really got me feeling excited to be part of the group. Since then, I've always managed to see them, one-on-one or in bunches. I was especially proud that I got to gather some of them for my first birthday celebration here.






In the time I've spent here on FA, I managed to become a part of different cliques and groups I got interested in. I believe the first livestream I ever joined was from  jarpanda. Man, the craziness that went on there back in the day. It was because of him that I met up some amazing dudes, most of them I still managed to catch up with regularly. Thinking of cliques, I was never too particular with the idea of a "furry family" back then. Friends were only friends for me, and I didn't wanna consider them brothers/uncles/fathers/sons/whatever... that is, until I got to meet my first furry brother  rayjmaster. He's kind and considerate, and we share so many similarities & interests. Plus it's easy to be myself around him despite being so far away from each other. I suppose it was because of him that I realized it wasn't so bad to share kinship with someone you can relate to. Heck, I somehow ended up with  currytiger as a son. Not that I'm complaining, though.






From then on, I met  arkanian. This guy is so friendly and enthusiastic and just came at me like the aggressive dragon/bullbear he is. It was because of him I got to meet so many other furs I'm happily chatting with as my bros. All the silliness that ensues... lmao.






Locally, I do think I'm rather fond of  burbarbeers and  daelmacro. And along with everyone I've befriended back in my home country, I do hope that meeting them all will make us that much closer. Especially the other burrs, both current and upcoming. It'll be a challenge to see how much they can eat and do physical activities compared to me. Heh.







Each of these people and everyone I've come to recognize as friends make me a part of who I am today. Even those I've only briefly communicated with have made an impact in some form. I'm so happy with how this whole year has treated me, and I hope I can still keep on changing myself for the better, while still keeping my own positive personality intact.
