24 hours ago I knew Alienware was the best mainstream computer company on the planet, despite being owned bu Dell. But... investigated a company called Sager who are apparently the ghost of Alienware before Dell bought the name. Better yet, I can get a more powerful computer for less than alienware wants. unfortunatly no illuminated keyboard. Putting this out there for a second opinion, I'm looking at a:
17" Wide Viewing Angles WSXGA+ LCD with Super Glossy Surface (1680 x 1050)
45nm Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9300 / 6MB L2 Cache, 2.50GHz, 800MHz FSB
Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTS Graphics with 512MB DDR3 Video Memory
Genuine MS Windows® VISTA ULTIMATE 32/64-Bit Edition (actually I'm considering XP again)
4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 X 2048MB
320GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Driv
Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module
Intel 2GB TurboMemory Module (dunno what it is but I have a guess)
tv tuner
+MS office
cost= 2200 ($600 discount)
unfortunatly no illuminated keyboard, curses.
