Why does everything have to do with looks these days? Love? Employment? Promotions? Why? Can someone tell me why looks gets those things instead of skill and personality?

Their dress code is long pants, sneakers, and a non-offensive shirt with a collar. That's it.

My logic jumped to "So... I can go spend thousands on an Armani suit, and get hired cause said suit makes me look desperate to get hired. But the bum by the highway offramp, who has no job and no money, won't get a job cause he looks like a bum..."

Apparently the manager would have someone dress up, and fail when someone asks him or her a question; as opposed to a person who has been employed at that same store, wasn't fired, and knows not only about what the store sells... but what goes into what they sell...

Exactly. Business suits are more intimidating for sales, which isn't something casual gamers like (least from my personal experience). Might wanna go into the corporate management, asking for a reason why that happened. If ya go to a higher-up then him, it might pan out that they find out he was hiring for personal causes >.O

Try a fastfood place. They have a high turnover rate, but you have a good chance of working there. You're gonna have to suffer a little bit to make the effort, even if it's minimum wage.

Despite the fact that you're not expected to work in the suit that you go to an interview in, they expect you to come in it anyway. Stupid, I know and a waste of time. Anyone can dawn a suit, but not everyone can work like they are suppose to.
