How to avoid writers block (in music that is)... Just make new sounds and play around with them, mess with some drum patterns and you'll get a domino effect. That's "my secret" on making music. Just play and don't think about it, just... Play. Also referencing to other particular track you enjoy helps to, if there's a certain tune you like from someone, make it similar style in various parts, sounds, drum loops, etc. simplicity helps too. Ummm, yup.
If you get frustrated, it doesn't mean you can't. You're just thinking to hard and not letting that creative vibe flow.

Hmm, the power of creativity and imagination of ones art is some complicated stuff. But ways of understanding, hell... Maybe this might jump start your flow. ^_^ if you need to talk or something you know where to find me.
