Without making a post that is pro or con anything, I'm just finding this "If you fantasize about something wrong it is wrong because it will end up happening"-logic. I find it fallacious.
I mean - I've "fantasized" about doing various harmful stuff to people cause I'm mad at them. But the thought of going through with it has never struck me. Likewise with games - they draw you into a fantasy world where "you" do things. Surely this means that I'm going to end up, in an unordered list, as a powerful mage, as an area champion, wildly driving around hitting people with a car going at silly speeds, generally driving around at silly speeds hitting into gas stations?
I'd like to believe that just because I enjoy playing games that are rated for violence, that I'm not going to end up going to town and beheading people :P
And saying that drwaings are still bad even if they're not photos because of foo. Does that mean movies are even worse? In that case I'm afraid I'm a lost cause. I mean.. if a picture is enough - think of what movies like Conan, Kill Bill and Sin City will make me do.
I'll be happy to take responsibility for my actions, but I'd rather be able to take action before I assume the responsibility. (Something which might be considered the responsibility not to take action(where action means going on a killing spree in $location using $something))
As someone else pointed out, if someone draws a NC pic, they're not really likely to go out and rape someone just beacuse of that, are they? Or if they draw vore? But those are that kinda stuff that "some" people frown upon. But let's take something slightly less esoteric. Furry .. .. artwork of the mature kind tends in some cases to be generously gifted - I'm not talking about the macro or hyper things, but they're taking my point to an extreme. But even though I like the picture of someone sillily hung having the special kind of fun with someone - I'm not about to be involved with a treetrunk being applied to anyone's orifice.
