Well I think I'm finally starting to get some drawing motivation back again. Should such an occurrence occur, I'm going to need a few volunteers.
Of the 4 legged, hoofed variety.
With butt stamps.

...Yeah, the initial idea was that if James was a pony, he'd have a horn to replace the nut jokes (from nuts to horny) and since he does use some magic anyways. And since he's an angel, he'd have wings as well. Then it was pointed out that all the alicorns we've seen so far are females, so... *poof!* Alicorn Jamie!
Cutie mark would be a starburst over an acorn as if it was exploding.
