i'm going to the community college for the first few years so my friends and i can get an apartment, but I still am using this as kind of a warm-up for whenever I actually have to go to a real university

^ The common app is a good place to start, I started looking for colleges there. Although it doesn't include FSU.
What you should do for a college app is include anything you can.

If you've been in a few clubs talk about what roles you had in the club and how you helped it.
They really just want to see determination.

I know you've already got some recomendation letters from your teachers which is FANTASTIC on a college app.

have you done any volunteer work before?
If so ask the person who led that for a referral.

Really you should be pretty set.
As long as you put effort into the SATs and write a paper that describes you pretty well, you should be all set.
Look online for some example, successful college papers and you get the general idea.
And send me that paper so I can review it.
