This convention has topped the list of my all-time best con experiences.
A lot of amazing people went the extra mile and elevated the con experience to a level I never expected, but am extremely fortunate to have shared.
Details? I know you want to hear them, and I want to share. But they will have to wait until I organize a full report of this epic con.
Sitting here now in my lonely apartment, I am suffering a little post-con depression. But I think that's just a testament to have good the con was. Some cons I've been to in the past didn't leave me feeling very depressed upon return. They have their memorable moments and people, all of which (and whom) I cherish. But I don't think many of the people who shared in this joyful con would deny that it was a bit special this year.
Missing the people and the good times brings more than just sadness; it brings something else, something very, very good. PCD is good in that it makes me remember just how much I love and cherish everybody I know, and have come to know, in this fandom. The people make it what it is, and I'm fortunate to know a few damn good folks. Without all your smiling faces, your hugs and your laughter, your sharing your passions and kinks and ideas and talents with like-minded others, this fandom wouldn't be the warm, loving, accepting, and inspiring place that it is. And yes, just for the record, I know the fandom's not always that great- I'm glossing over that by choice. What I'm saying is that I love the people who contribute their time, energy, and heart, into sharing the fun and the love of these silly kinks and this unorthodox way of expressing ourselves as quirky animal people. We are a community amongst ourselves. And this weekend, in this place, everybody I saw seemed to contribute to the dream. The result was a con that was greater than the sum of its parts. It will become legendary.
There is no question that I will be attending next year. And I have my own plans for bringing a little more magic to the con.
In conclusion, I witnessed the wonderful harmony of a great community of people coming together and contributing to the dream of the furry fandom. That dream, as I see it, is to share with like-minded others the passions, hobbies, kinks, and desires that make us smile and hug each other and miss it after it's over. The people at this con did it as good, and in some ways even better, than any other time I've had. It was wonderful, and we all made it that way.
Thank you, everyone- until next year.
Love,
Padder Cat

I got kinda depressed afterward, but that's partially because that was the first time I had met other furries in person. E='3

I'm glad you got to experience a magical con... and hope the next one is just as good!
It was a pleasure to hang out with you and a pleasure to pat that padding of yours! :D
