AS of Oct 1st my gav game for the last 4 years, EQ2 made some really big changes.
Till the 14th you can get a lvl 85 character to try out heroic level content, if your F2P, you will still need to pay for it after the 14th.
Recent content can be unlocked via in game SC, and subscribed members get a boost to speed and earned coin in game.
Well that summerizes the major stuff. I will admit it's a nice change in the long run as it's closer to a model they need to help attract new players. Still if anyone is interested in some support on there, feel free to look me up on the antonia bayle server under Sharisnarr usually these days.

I think the very small increase in gold and mount speed isn't much of an incentive to go gold, but they do what they are going to do.

I don't recognize that game anymore. I quit around a year ago. It's really a shame, it used to be such a good game.
