3 new seasons consisting of 26 episodes each are currently in production.
Jean Chalopin and Bernard Deyries, writer and director of the original series return to oversee production.
Noam Kaniel composer of the original series music and intro will also return to do the new score.
And the show is not a remake or reboot, its a direct continuation of where the original left of.

By.. the.. allspark... Until Netflix got it that show was a dim memory that I wasn't even sure of the name of. Now I want amazon's instant video just so I can finish the first season.

The last time it was on TV here in New Zealand was when it was first released, in the mid-1980s. I haven't seen it since, though I've always remembered the theme music. I see it's been out on DVD for a while (if not in Region 4), so I might have to save and buy it.
