an important reminder y'all
This has been weighing on me for a while now, but I just wanted to remind everyone on here that I am indeed a male. It might seem silly that I need to post a reminder, but it's happened several times that people seem to forget?
The point i'm trying to make here is please, please respect proper gender pronouns. It makes me really sad, uncomfortable and hurt when people use the wrong pronouns when talking about me. I know you don't mean to hurt me if you have, but it really does. It feels like punch to the tummy. Please don't punch my tummy. It's been punched to many times before, even if I've yet to meet a person who truly meant to punch me. (Well, that's a lie, but I don't like acknowledging crapulous jerks)
That being said, I do understand that mistakes happen. If you have used the wrong pronouns in the past, I don't hate you for it/ think you're totally rotten. Unless you did it entirely on purpose with the intent of hurting me/ invalidating my identity. Misgendering someone on purpose is a really cruddy thing to do.
I just ask that you correct it in the future, that you try your darn hardest to use the right pronouns from here on out. This doesn't just apply to me either, but to everyone! If you don't know someone's preferred pronouns, ask them! Chances are that they'll let you know.
I guess that the whole point of this journal is "be polite, be kind, respect gender pronouns!"
Just for a quick reference, mine are masculine (he, his, himself, etc), but I'm cool with the gender neutral pronouns too! (They, theirs, etc.)
I'm not singling out a single person here! As I said before, this happens to me quite often unfortunately. Just remember that correct pronouns are important!

Glad this kind of made sense. My mind was going all over the place when I was writing.
But I try to keep it in mind...
I'm sorry for the times I've misgendered you though
I know it probably pisses you off.
And that is certainly one of the last things I intend to do.
Thank you very much for the apology, I really appreciate it! <3
