An important issue is in debate in these days: should admins ban underage mature art (like cub porn)? Many artists are threatening to leave FA if the ban isn't imposed (and some are using this threat to induce others to vote as they want to, which is very wrong, in my opinion).
Personally, I find underage mature art disgusting (as well as rape art and some other things on which I can't, however, cast my vote), but the reason I joined this gallery surely isn't just to have another way to showcase my artwork or find porn: I'm here because I know there are many good artists *and friends* who I couldn't find anywhere else, whom art and companionship are precious to me.
As a well-known italian song says,
dai diamanti non nasce niente
dal letame nascono i fior
which can be translated in "nothing can grow from diamonds/manure lets flowers grow." If it's true that this gallery has a lot of "manure" into it, I'm here for the flowers.
I won't leave if the ban isn't approved (even because I shouldn't ever join this gallery, since it has a lot of things I hate), but I'll feel really bad if I'm going to see many friends go away for this.
But I won't try to change your minds: do as you wish. You are free as I am.

It's not really our problem t-mike, why the hell are you worrying about this? It's the peoples' who draw porn problem. XP

credo che bisogna distinguere tra realtà è finzione. finchè una cosa è pura immaginazione non fa male a nessuno per quanto perversa questa possona essere. e censurare le semplici idee fatte disegno è una cosa parecchio sbagliata oltre che inutile.
se poi il fatto dei babyfur è qualcosa che per motivi legali da problemi a chi tiene i server, allora la cosa non è nemmeno da discutere e il sondaggio fatto sul forum non ha alcun senso perchè non si tratta quindi di prendere una decisione democratica ma si tratterebbe di una imposizione da parte di coloro che gestiscono gli spazi dei server in modo da evitare di andare contro le leggi.
A me sinceramente non è mai fregato nulla del porno o di vari fetish più o meno assurdi che vedo qui, anche se non riesco a non trovare disgustosi disegni di stupri o cose del genere (anche se sono fantasie mi richiamano comunque l'idea di un atto che trovo orrendo); ma è chiaro che, quando ho aperto questo account, comunque avrei dovuto avere a che fare con questo tipo di cose.
Ammetto di aver pensato di andarmene, sulle prime, ieri sera, ma oggi, a mente fredda, mi rendo conto che è abbastanza sciocco e perfettamente inutile.
Per quanto riguarda la questione legale, è stato recentemente chiarito che per gli admin non ci sono rischi di alcun tipo nel permettere questo tipo di disegno.
se bannano i disegni dei furrettini sarebbe un gesto veraemente ipocrita, io proporrei un filtro. forse nemmeno quello dato che fanno parte del mature stuff.
Il sistema che c'è ora ha delle basi relativamente buone, ma c'è sempre il modo di migliorarlo.
Tanto buona parte di quelli che dicono che se ne vanno lo fanno per sentirsi dire 'ma no, ma dai, resta 'cca', il dramma e' l'elemento fondamentale del furry da sempre!
Riguardo FA... be', che dire, a me dispiace vedere che gente che apprezzo decida di andarsene per una tale questione. Ammetto di trovare disgustose le immagini mature relative a bambini, che siano umani o antropomorfi, anche se sono pura fantasia, è più forte di me. Però è anche vero che, andandosene, non è che la situazione possa migliorare in qualche modo... anzi, c'è semmai una perdita.

And the real hypocrasy is that cub art has been around long before this debate, the admin chose not to enforce the ToS rules against it because they didn't feel it was right to ban it.
Anyone who leaves is just being a hypocrit, and a drama queen. They have no morals they're trying to push than emo.
The rest supported artists' rights to freedom.
If I were to draw a picture depicting a female character being raped, or a cub having a sexual intercourse with a mature character, would this be an act of freedom of expression? I'm not sure about it; in my opinion, this depends on the reasons behind the picture: arousal or illustration.
Or is it just me?
