Buttleneck
17 years ago
Still busy on my real life- -
I'm now a grade fourth university student, that means I'll graduate next year. In my country male will be draft into military for about a year if he graduate and don't go to the graduate school, and tha'ts the problem I'm worried about.
My parents wish me can keep studying, but I planned to goto the military and find a job first, and they agreed that time. I can understand why they change their mind, just read the newspaper and see what happened on the world these days. But to say the truth, it's a little late now, and although I don't want to keep studying the subject I'm doing now, it seems that I have no choice.
People said even you read graduate school, it's still hard to find a job, but that means if you don't, it'll be much harder to find one? *sigh*
However, I have to consider about this problem...
Another problem I'm worried about is my drawing.(Again?XD)
Well, I just worried about if I can still find time to draw when I graduate, and if I can try to use this on my job or just waste of time. In my country, this small island, it's really hard to make a living if your drawing skill is just like this. And also, now I feel like I'm facing a wall on my drawing, I know I can't just draw chars like this in my whole life, I want to improve it, but it just seems not working. - 3-
Now I feel like I'm in a bottleneck both in my life and drawing, I just hope I can see the way of my future more clearly.

As for your situation, I suggest studying when you can allow yourself and find a job in the military like you mentioned. It's the quickest was up "the ladder".
: )
Well, about the drawings, don't worry too much about it since I think you will find time to draw ^__^
And thx for the comment~: )
So your options are:
1. to go to graduate school and study something you don't like?
or
2. finish undergraduate school and join the military?
Those are tough choices but I think graduate school, even if it is something you don't like, will help you out later in life. And, if things are tough, once you complete graduate school, you could still go into the military for a year if you had to, right? If that is true, graduate school sounds like the best option to me.
If art is something you enjoy, you will always find time for it in your life. Even if it is not your primary job, you can still supplement your income with art. I think you have great skill and, even if you feel stuck right now, you'll eventually get past it - most people's artwork evolves over time, even if they don't notice it right away. I enjoy your style of artwork very much. It is unfortunate that making a living with art can be so difficult.
I wish you luck, whatever you choose, but graduate school sounds like the best option to me, especially if you can fall back to the military option after you graduate because the job market might get better while you are in graduate school. You never know. Hope for the best but plan for the worst. ^_^;;
Are you accepting commissions again? I am confused because your FA commission page says "yes" but I think I read that you took 3 commissions recently.
And yes, I think your right, those things will help someday.
And just like your worlds, I'll always find time if I really like drawing, I think we'll know the answer soo, huh? XD
Anyway, I'll try to get into the graduate school, although it's a little late to start, but I'll try, or I have to get into military soon, no matter what the result is, it's better than not doing anything, right?
Anyway, thx for the comment again, it do help. : )
And yeah, I think try to get into the graduate school is better to find a job...I'll try, it's better than not do anything and just wait until I graduate and get into the military right away, huh? XD
Thx for the comment, I really appreciate it~: )
No problem! Just hang in there! =D
Our economy is really bad, and I'm hoping our new president will do something about it :\
But, go for what you dream. If you want to do something with your art, you have to work for it.
Yeah, hope your new president can do smething with it~
And thx for the comment, I really appreciate that~
The real problem right now seems that you're afraid you won't find a job. I've had that, myself, but in the end, it all worked out, because I tried my best to find one. ^^
Yeah, I really afraid that I can't find a job, hope it'll be fine in the end~^^;
