We've been bullshat.
Read on.
Two nights ago, me and mom got kicked out of the homeless shelter, on the grounds that they have no room and cannot accept people from out of area. Their criteria for "out of area" is that if you have not had an address for 90+ days, you get the boot. Well guess what? In three weeks, we both gained THREE jobs, a college entry, a mailing address, and a currently unknown amount of mail delivered through that address! I don't know how THEIR fucking dumbass brains work, but I say it counts! But NOOOO, they continue to insist that we abandon everything that we've nearly died of starvation getting and go to another shelter in another county that gives no guarantee won't refuse us either!!

And the truly absurd part? The part that just makes me want to give up on humanity and life? They aren't even full. Every night I was there (four nights total,) there would be at least four or five empty beds. Every night a bed was empty, and every meal would have leftovers enough to fill a trash bag.
THIS IS NOT WHAT A HOMELESS SHELTER IS SUPPOSED TO DO!! HOMELESS SHELTERS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO INDISCRIMINATELY REFUSE THE HOMELESS!! ESPECIALLY IF THEY DONATED 3% OF EVERY PAYCHECK TO YOUR SPONSOR!!!! You read that right, my mother payed out of her very generous paychecks back when I was a child, and they still refused her, now that she NEEDS their help.

In other news, because of this, we need help again. Mom is getting paid one week from today, but we basically can't afford much of anything until then. We both go into orientation for another job on monday, but we won't benefit from it for at least three weeks, but after that we are in the clear. I promise to repay all debts, so I'm not asking for donations, just loans.
