After shaking the con crud I managed to get to a dentist for basically the first time since sometime in the late 1980s. The good news is the overall damage from 20 years of neglect wasn't as bad as it probably should have been. The bad news is that I've got a long list of things that need to be done and should be done to get me back on track. The most immediate of which was dealing with the tooth I fractured the first night at Rainfurrest. On that course I had my first root canal today, now I just need to get a cap and things will almost be back to normal... for that tooth. I still have another one cracked all the way through apparently that will probably require the same treatment. I'm going to be leaning on my dental insurance to help with all of that over the next few years of course.

This would totally submarine my budget for MFF, except I picked up a big bonus at work for doing a bang up job on the bridge they had me designing. I've also been cleared to work OT on this current project so the teeth repairs shouldn't derail the trip.

I am going to need to find a room for Thursday night at MFF though as my reservation doesn't pick up till Friday, so if anyone's got crash space for the one night, I'd appreciate it.
