It's been ages since I last posted a journal, but some of my closer watchers and friends know that I've been working on a portfolio so that I can attend the School of Art at George Mason University.

The portfolio review is on Saturday, and I am scheduled to drive up to Manassas on Friday night. However, that seems to be a pipe dream unless I can somehow conjure up a ton of money before tomorrow.

My car has a super rusted and leaking radiator, it needs three new tires, and I need to replace a melted tensioner and belt. In total, if I can pull off most of the repairs myself with no help from a mechanic, I'm looking at about at least $330 worth of parts.

Even if I can get just the tensioner and belt by today, it's a gamble if my car would survive a trip to Manassas and back with a rusted over and leaking radiator.

So, for the time being at least, it looks like I might have to give up on going to college for a little while longer...
