She asked if I wanted a request then I gave the request and she disappeared since.

You have sutch bad luck with artists it almost your cursed.

I can't say that my experiences over the last year have been mostly positive, no.

At the risk of hitting the same key over and over, you have really bad luck with this.....

Here's a few things i usually do if i'm about to commission an artist
-Check the artist beware site to see if they're listed there
-Look at past journals/shouts to see if there's anything iffy about them, like taking too long to do commissions and what not (if they take longer than 2 months, i don't commission them)
-Pm a few of their past commissioners to see how it went. This saved me a few times. One guy i was about to commission, his past commissioners told me he took over a year to complete them, and they still didn't get them all.

Please don't shit-talk the artist in question. They did nothing to you. The artist in question has a life (and actual job) outside of this.

This artist is smart enough to know that 20-30k a year from drawing dog dicks all day isn't worth it.
