Not feeling safe in your own home sucks.

I don't usually post personal journals but I am having an extremely off day. Doors and windows are locked, curtains drawn. Because someone in my apartment complex was murdered today in an apparent robbery.
How many joking comments have I made in my livestream about living in this place. About how my neighbors just let random people in. Or Disable the doors so they can't lock so their friends can come in and out without being buzzed in.
My own neighbors make me nervous as hell, getting in fights in the hall in front of my door. Having the police show up.
Next time I am frustrated because my dog has a big scary bark that frightens strangers, Remind me that it's not such a bad thing!
I'll try and do some sort of fun art thing tonight to keep my mind occupied.

I'm looking for a new place right now. I don't even care if I have to pay to break my lease, not worth it to stay here.
I lost my best friend when she was murdered in her own apartment a few months after moving into into; then again it was the repair guy who did it and he was on bail.

Nothing in my apartment has been fixed since I moved in because there is only a few hour window that maintenance can come here since they only make appointments one day a week. And I wont schedule it if I'm alone. Ugh. This sucks.
I'll be super careful. My Husband already told me I won't be the one walking the dog at night anymore.
Good thing people don't like to mess with scary sounding dogs! Your guy will protect you <3

I hope you'll feel safer soon, that sounds really terrifying :( Good thing you have a guard dog, they tend to scare the criminals away :)
