It would make me mad if people copied my characters, sure. I'm a bit confused as to why people would want to copy something as simple as a green squirrel, though.

Well, they could be inspired by Cara... not exactly her. Hell, my alien species is somewhat inspired by the Xenomorphs and Sergals. But I'm not blatantly ripping them off, no.

But yes, I have noticed one other green, red-haired squirrel... but she has long hair.

True, well i found one person who was deadset a direct copy colour for colour, just different spiecies and my god it made me angry.

I have not had that issue...though there are a good number of purple furred canines out there...buuuuut I can certainly understand the annoyance.

I'd be happy if there were more masculine, dominant poodles. But, if they were just plain rips I'd be slightly miffed.

The problem is that new people coming onto the furry scene seem to lack imagination. They just find a character they like and rename it, maybe tweak it just a bit.

Of course, being similar doesn't always imply copying or even inspiration. Take my case where I went from another species to squirrel (since it's my favorite animal and decided it fit me better) and decided to stay green like I was before. I didn't even know of you at the time, and when I had I figured there were enough differences to make myself stand out.

If I spray painted my fur green and starting rubbing my nuts up on strangers, would I be copying you? :3

Hmm. There are also some cases where peeps have no idea about the similarities between their characters and others! I think it's something that is always going to happen, regardless. I can see how it might any you, though.

Found this kid who was roleplaying as me, using a picture of me, minus the name. I let 'em know I was flattered by the whole thing, but also creeped out ever so slightly.
Have this conversation with them... and they change their Twitter handle to, get this, 'Furry_Xial'.

Needless to say, I ended up talking them out of it, while quietly filing paperwork on the back end that would allow me to have the information purged from their account.

All I can say if any of you don't want people playing or copying your characters, or know people that don't like that check flist. I've seen many playing others character or using thier pictures. And yes this is relevant as I've seen a cara on there and don't think it was you. I'd say any that see this make a page on flist and verify your characters if you don't want them stolen, cause there's people with no originality using them and likely playing them way wrong. My personal fav idiocy is the lesbian characters of miu 'peaches and cream' where they want macro and hyper dicked males raping them.

Anyways just a heads up for you Cara and any others that see this. If don't like people using your characters check flist and get verified. They need some big time pathetic unoriginal players character coping damage control.

I do use F-list and there was a ripoff a while back, but i got it sorted and got my f-list accoutn verified too, but yeah i know what you mean on there XD
