First Commission
So, I got my first commission for fursuit stuff and it's from a non-fur.
I was hanging out at a friends house and I brought some hand paws with me so he could try them on. He is interested in being my handler so I wanted him to experience how hard it is to do things in suit (like pick up a bottle of water etc). The paws were a big hit and everyone else at the house wanted to try them on and play with them. It was fun to watch people smile and pretend to be animals in their own way.
Later that evening, someone else came over to visit, played with the paws and said "Can you make me some with pink pads and claws?"
I was like, "Umm, yea. They would be kinda pricey though."
He said "How pricey?"
I gave him a quote
He said "That's not too pricey."
I got all the details for how he wanted his gloves.
Even though I'm still working on my first full suit, I have made lots of tails and gloves so that's something I know I can do that's worth charging someone money for.
So, yea, I'm happy. I'm one tiny step closer to my goal of being a fursuit maker someday. I am excited to get the EXP for making something for someone else. Even if I f*** up, he is local so I can fix it for him and get feedback in real time.
I'm so excited.
cheers.

I haven't made feet yet. I have my HammerWolf feet carved but not furred yet. I am still learning the craft. Will you be at the local Halloween meet here in a few days? If so, you can see my latest work in person and see if you want to commission me or not. I am the tall guy who asked you about the 3DS and handed you the card for F3 at the park. (sorry about that)
I would love to get started as a fursuit maker my building things for local people and friends to get experience.
Even though I am still learning my "not open yet" cue is
1:Full suit
2:Partial suit
3:hand/feet paws and tail
4:plush
5:hoodie
6:hand paws
7:You would be here
cheers
All my nonfurry friends don't have a problem with it, but aren't really interested in it either in any way.
cheers
These are the same people we normally have to watch what we say around because they're "slightly" less open-minded about some of the details of our lifestyle. Rather than softly telling us we're both serious weirdos, they instead FLIPPED OUT rambling about how awesome fusuits are, before speed-bidding several hundreds of dollars each to commission ANY kind of a fursuit and asking how soon they can have them... We frequently reminisce on this and laugh our tails off =;3
As furs, we think that people hate us but in reality, I think that most people haven't heard about it or if they have, they think it's like a secret society or something and they are curious about it.
I mean, who doesn't want to have fun, dress up in bad-ass animal costumes and party?
