Gay bois together 5 ever 2014/03/18

So, after 9 months of being under the mighty thumb of TRADOC, keeping my nose clean, and being a good boy. I'm finally graduating AIT. It may not be what I signed up for. I may also have been forced into this MOS, but I already have an action plan for that.
But I will be a cook for the Army. Not glamorous, not too special, but at least I'm still a soldier. ^_^So, no complaints. I must say that as far as Virginia is concerned, I wouldn't mind coming back as long as I don't train anymore.
I also have been selected to go to HRAP (hometown recruiting) on top of 10 days leave. I'll be home on Fort Benning/Columbus for 24 days. The majority of which I will work with recruiters. But enough time to get a car and prepare for my next duty station in Fort Knox. I just hope that I can readjust quickly and get back to the way things were.

Lemme know what the permanent party housing is like, man. I won't be over till next month. :P There are a couple of people from my AIT who're there already.

Alright, I should be getting my permanent housing by the end of today, /should/, but who knows. I'm starting in-processing, which is just like reception, but we get to do a pt test :I

Hopefully they have the mystical dorms that I miss from Fort Sam. I don't mind taking another PT test. I like that there's another fur already there. This is cool.

It is cool :3 I just got my unit patch too, the diamond looking one with the castle in the center of it :3 I'm in the 19th EN BN, 42nd, me and my 3 other battles just barely dodged a deployment to Kosovo xD

Damn. That woulda sucked major. I have a few battles who're gonna go to Afghanistan soon. I was putzing around base yesterday where I'm from, more specifically, at the gym, and just as I predicted, I ran into a Drill Sergeant from my BCT. He didn't even recognize me. Said good morning and everything. I just thought it was funny how that prediction came to fruition.

Heh, well, I took my PT test today, the 2 mile course is around the gym block (btw the gym here is pretty high speed) and it's pretty easy, I maxed my 2 mile and sit ups (bairly passed minimum for push-ups, I suck at them). oh well, CIF tomorrow. Make sure you get a reflective PT belt, you need it to do any PT, you can get it at the shoppet or the clothing store.
