o.k. I'm going to make this a very quick update, so here goes.

The sad: My friend Ken, who I've talked about having Cancer, has 7 - 14 days left to live. My plan is to try to visit him here shortly before it's too late.

The confused: Annette, hubby's grandmother/my grandmother, is in stage four kidney failure. She needs blood and dialysis, so we've spent most of the day in the hospital with her getting that all organized. She calls 1/2 hour after we get home saying the Dr. came in and told her she is just getting blood and going home tomorrow. We're all WTF are you talking about? No clue, more details to come I hope.

In other news, my father and I have actually found some common ground and seem to be getting along rather well now. Least it's before his memory completely goes because there have been many times that he doesn't even remember seeing me the previous week.
What finally brought us together? Hubby calling my Mom to tell her I broke down sobbing over him selling his Jeep. That I want it because it's his and he agreed to let me have it.
I'm so happy over this, I keep holding onto that. Only thing keeping me together through all this other shit.
